About the Catholic Women’s Conference of Denver
The mission of the Catholic Women’s Conference of Denver is to support, empower and educate women in discovering and fulfilling God’s unique will for them by encouraging them to seek Him and encounter His mercy through reconciliation; to inspire them to grow in holiness through our Catholic faith by way of the sacraments, self-sacrifice, Scripture and holy sisterhood.
The Catholic Women’s Conference of Denver was inspired by two parishioners from Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church, Elizabeth Petrucelli and Angee Igielinski, who felt there was a need in the Archdiocese of Denver to provide opportunities for women to grow in their love of God and to foster fellowship amongst women of faith. With the blessing of Archbishop Samuel Aquila and permission from their pastor, Monsignor Edward Buelt to hold the inaugural conference at Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church, the two women quickly assembled a group of volunteers. Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the date for the first conference was designated to take place on March 25, 2017, the Feast of the Annunciation.
The 2017 event, Feminine Authenticity – The Perfect Yes, was focused on Marian spirituality in which we encouraged women to meditate on Mary’s fiat and model her humility and obedience to God.
The 2nd annual event is scheduled for April 28, 2018 and will focus on the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Feminine Genius.
